Kumba

I made this drawing after a particularly powerful dream that I had. In the dream, this man gazed at me intensely, almost fiercely, and proceeded to play a quickening beat on his drum. I felt the drumbeat rattle in my chest and heart. As I felt the drumbeat in my body, I realized that it was a call to action, and the intensity in his eyes mirrored this. After reflecting on the dream, the name "Kumba" came to me for the man. I looked this name up, and it means "creativity."
